Upon arrival my first impression of MIREBALL DESIGN was how sleek, modern, and stylized the building looked. As I walked in, I was so tempted to walk around. But front desk quickly greeted me and pointed me in the right direction. She must've seen my eyes light up with delight as I looked around the studio. About 15 minutes go by and John shows up. He gave my group members and I a PowerPoint presentation of how he started, his big projects, and his creative motto: simple, make the most with the least, and 3 colors. His advice; work for free to gain experience. He spoke about his experience working with Lux art Institute for 15 years. Found the empty lot in the middle of nowhere. Took few years of fund raising, concept artist works on site and residents can see artist working. Build story. LUX IS: ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE. The concept was, " the square."
